Noelker and Hull Associates, Inc. principal and senior design architect Thomas H. King, AIA, will serve as a symposium panelist at the Maryland Association of Counties School Construction Symposium to discuss the successes and challenges of repeat design in K-12 school construction.
King, a Frederick, MD-based architect with more than 45 years of professional experience, is widely respected for his knowledge in K-12 school design. He will be joined by school officials from Frederick, Anne Arundel and Dorchester County Public Schools to discuss the advantages and challenges of using repeat design as a cost saving solution for school construction. The session, “Becoming One With Your School System: Repeat Design” will take place on Thursday, June 30, from 1:15 p.m. to 2:15. The symposium will be hosted by Rolling Knolls Elementary School, 1985 Valley Road in Annapolis. Admission for non-members will be $75; Maryland Association of Counties members may attend free of charge.
The one-day symposium, held each Spring, is designed to provide attendees with an opportunity to learn about and discuss topics of interest in greater depth than those presented at larger conferences or events. This year’s School Construction Symposium will address the state of K-12 facilities, construction workforce shortages, repeat design and public-private partnerships.
