Homewood at Frederick’s Willow Ponds campus was developed as a separate independent living campus to support Homewood at Crumland Farms, an adjacent continuing care retirement community (CCRC) campus. The centerpiece of this campus is “The Lodge,” a five-story, 120-unit independent living (IL) apartment building with integrated community center overlooking the adjacent ponds and having a dramatic view of the Catoctin Mountains. The complex features a three-story atrium, multiple dining venues, indoor pool, fitness center and a parking level below the apartments.

The campus underwent a significant expansion with the addition of Phase II, incorporating 31 independent living (IL) units, bringing the total to 116 IL units. Noteworthy is the inclusion of underground parking in Phase II, enhancing the campus’s amenities. A seamless integration of interior color palettes and materials between Phase I and Phase II ensures aesthetic continuity.
