Noelker and Hull’s project, Air Force Enlisted Village, Bob Hope Village 7, officially broke ground on October 17, 2025. Village 7 is a significant expansion to the successful Village 6 development which Noelker and Hull also participated in designing.
Air Force Enlisted Village, a retirement community in Shalimar, Florida, provides affordable housing for enlisted Air Force personnel and their spouses. Noelker and Hull has continued to work with Air Force Enlisted Village and its many campuses for approximately 15 years, providing not only architectural services but also interior design services as well. Brian Kuhns, Senior Associate, shares, “At Noelker and Hull, we experience high levels of repeat business. Clients value relationships, and when we’ve had successful projects, they are inclined to want to continue that relationship. With Air Force Enlisted Village, the projects we have done for them are well-received and have ultimately improved the quality of residential offerings available on their campuses.”
Bob Hope Village campus, originally consisting of 4 different villages (Villages 1-4) has continued to develop into numerous other villages. Noelker and Hull has participated in the development of Villages 5 through 7, expanding and upgrading more residential units in type, size, and variation.
Village 7, the newest development of Air Force Enlisted Village, encompasses 51 new Independent Living Apartments in a 99,000 SF, 3-story building addition. “The new apartments in Village 7 will be the most spacious apartments available on the Air Force Enlisted Village Campus, ranging in size from 1,240 SF to 1,400 SF. All apartments will have a den, 2 bedrooms/2 baths, and an exterior balcony,” Brian adds.
Village 7 will feature thoughtfully designed Independent Living Apartments complemented by inviting lounge areas and covered access to the adjacent Village 6 clubhouse. Residents will also enjoy ample on-site parking and convenient nearby storage buildings, creating practical and comfortable living. “The project represents the second phase of the Village 6 development,” Brian explains, “Village 7 will welcome many new residents, strengthening the shared sense of community across both villages.”
The apartments, combined with well-planned amenities, will enhance daily life for seniors at Air Force Enlisted Village, while fostering connection and belonging. Brian reflects, “This project exemplifies Noelker and Hull’s continued excellence in Senior Living design. We’ve created thoughtfully planned apartments with amenities that matter most to seniors, incorporating generous daylight and easy access to outdoor spaces. The exterior architecture reflects our commitment to a distinctive, context-sensitive aesthetic for Air Force Enlisted Village—one that goes beyond the campus-wide vision to deliver a truly unique experience.”
Village 7 officially started construction on November 3rd and is projected to complete in January of 2027.
