A team of women from Noelker and Hull recently volunteered with Habitat for Humanity of Franklin County on a local Women Build project. They spent the day learning skills in siding and applying them to a three-bedroom home on Warm Spring Road in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. Eager for the challenge, the team had a great time learning and working together while furthering a great cause.

“Giving back to the community is a priority for Noelker and Hull. Sponsoring Habitat for Humanity supports our firm’s purpose which is to improve communities and raise the quality of life for community members,” said Stuart Christenson, President.

Though this is the first project of it’s kind in Franklin County, Women Build is a national movement that began in 1991 when a group of women volunteers built an entire Habitat house in North Carolina. Since then, Women Build has been focused on creating an inclusive environment where women feel comfortable and confident at the jobsite. Habitat staff create a friendly and collaborative environment to teach volunteers of all skill levels how to safely build on-site.

As a sponsor of Women Build, Noelker and Hull is proud to help in the building of a safe, affordable home for a hard-working Franklin County family.
