Noelker and Hull is excited to announce the promotion of Nikki E. Brooks, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP to Principal in our Frederick, Maryland studio!
Nikki has over 24 years of experience in the architecture field, having worked on a diverse range of commercial and residential projects, including multi-family, retail, education, religious, office, and industrial developments. She has also contributed her expertise to the Baltimore County Review Panel and the Oella Homeowners Association Architectural Review Committee. As a LEED Accredited Professional, she brings a strong focus on sustainable design practices. Now, in her position as Principal, she will continue to play a key role in the growth of our Frederick office through thoughtful architectural planning and innovative design solutions.
Nikki shares her goals and insights, “My vision is to continue building on the strong foundation the Frederick office has established, while expanding our reach within the region. We’ve developed trusted partnerships with local governments and municipalities, and I see a significant opportunity to grow our presence with developers, private institutions, and organizations seeking a collaborative design partner,” she continues, “Our firm’s deep expertise in senior living also positions us well to engage in the expanding multi-family residential market. By combining my personal experience working closely with developers and the firm’s proven ability to manage the structured processes of public projects, we can offer a uniquely balanced perspective — one that’s responsive, creative, and grounded in real-world knowledge.”
Nikki earned her graduate degree in architecture from Boston Architectural College. She is widely respected for her ability to translate abstract ideas into stunning visual realities, with a keen focus on material juxtaposition and element proportions. Her design philosophy centers on translating clients’ needs, aspirations, and budgets into spaces that elevate the built environment. She explains, “Promoting authentic, client-driven design has always been at the heart of Noelker and Hull’s identity. I plan to continue that tradition by leading with curiosity, transparency, and a genuine commitment to understanding each client’s goals. Whether we’re collaborating with a municipality, a private owner, or a development team, I believe the best solutions emerge from listening carefully and responding with creativity, respect, and technical clarity.”
Nikki’s goal is to strengthen and elevate Noelker and Hull’s long‑standing reputation by blending the firm’s established expertise with new opportunities in the region, ensuring every project reflects the firm’s values, craftsmanship, and client vision.
Nikki expresses, “This promotion is something I’m truly proud of — it represents 25 years of growth, mentorship, and meaningful work. Stepping into the Principal role is both exciting and humbling, and I’m grateful for the confidence the firm has placed in me. I’m looking forward to using the skills and experience I’ve gained to help guide the Frederick office into its next chapter. Like anyone taking on a new leadership role, there’s a mix of excitement and a few healthy nerves, but those feelings simply reinforce how deeply I care about our team, our clients, and the work we do. I’m eager to support our staff, strengthen our relationships, and continue advancing the thoughtful, client-focused design that truly defines Noelker and Hull.”
