Dedication of New Caledonia State Park Campgrounds

On March 29, Noelker and Hull Associates, Inc.’s (Noelker and Hull) Mark Weaver, RA, senior project architect, joined the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) officials, State of Pennsylvania representatives, South Mountain Partnership, and the local community in the dedication of the new Chinquapin Hill campground restroom and shower and other facilities at Caledonia State Park.

The project completed the first phase of the Caledonia Campgrounds Rehabilitation projects. Noelker and Hull is the design architect on the project that included removal of six existing shower houses and construction of three new fully accessible restroom/shower facilities, a new recreational vehicle dump station, two information/electrical service kiosks, and extension of utility services to 18 campsites to make them full-service.

During the ceremony, DCNR Secretary Cindy Adams Dunn stated, “We know our visitors will appreciate the new upgrades and work done at Caledonia, which has brought new, modern facilities, and full-service camping, while maintaining the character and charm of the park.”

Caledonia State Park is a 1,125-acre park in Adams and Franklin counties, midway between Chambersburg and Gettysburg along Route 30.
