Noelker and Hull provided a comprehensive renovation of the Ballroom within Gettysburg College’s College Union Building, transforming the existing space into a premier, modern event venue. The project reimagined the facility through the strategic relocation of the stage and the conversion of the former stage area into a welcoming pre-function space that enhances circulation and event flow. Upgraded side lobbies now serve as prominent, accessible entry points from both the campus and surrounding streets, strengthening the ballroom’s connection to the College community.
The renovation included complete replacement of HVAC systems, advanced audiovisual and technology upgrades, new lighting, refined interior finishes, and fully renovated restrooms. Accessibility was a key focus throughout, with new accessible entrances into the ballroom and thoughtful program expansion into the former College Bookstore to increase flexibility and capacity. Mechanical systems serving second-floor offices and meeting rooms were also modernized. In total, approximately 20,000 square feet of the College Union Building was revitalized, delivering a dynamic, flexible destination that supports a wide range of Gettysburg College programs and events.
