With specialized expertise in healthcare design, Noelker and Hull provided architectural services for WellSpan Family Medicine’s renovation and expansion with the goal of increasing access to medical care for the residents of Shippensburg, Pennsylvania and surrounding areas.
A renovation of an existing 7,746 gross square foot medical office suite, plus the addition of an adjacent Orthopedic Suite and access corridor (2,055 gross square foot), brings the developed area of the practice to 9,801 gross square feet. Healthcare program elements include eight exam pods with each pod containing three exam rooms and a nurse touchdown station. A provider work area with semi-private workstations, a central lab and medication safety zone, a staff lounge/conference room, a waiting and reception/check-in area and office space for six to eight administrators are also part of the design.
